Funky Fruit Bowl – I searched for this fruit bowl in my mother’s loft. I remembered how much I admired it on my Grandmother’s dining table and knew that one day I would paint it. Twenty years later I did just so, filling it with fruit and creating a fun ‘pop art’ like image.
Fontaine-Bleu No.1 – This piece is part of a body of work that I developed from sketches in the grounds of a chateau in Fontaine-bleu. The scene was of a natural spring that produced such amazing colours that I just had to record it.
Fontaine-Bleu No.2 – Here I was taken by the reflection of the rich green foliage in the water, using a palette knife to create the textures.
View to the Gironde – This scene in the south west of France stopped me in my tracks. I could not believe my eyes as it was a view just waiting to be painted.
Miniature Daffodil – This still life contains objects that have been given to me as gifts. I could not wait to put them together in a piece of art.
Still life with bowl of fruit – Fruit and Primula’s set off this lively still life. They are surrounded by a fabric that I designed, following a holiday in Bermuda consisting of images of the buildings that I saw while I was there.
Oil Lamp with Scarves – This still life combines the old and new together. The oil lamp sits amongst numerous scarves and the china pot stands out from the black floral background. There are so many patterns combined here, that each time you look at it there is something new to see.
Wooden Plate with Fruit – Original SOLD prints still available.
Vintage Textile Design with Scarves – Here I have been playing with patterns, curves and geometric shapes together with floral images. The objects and patterns produced compliment each other.
Vintage Textile Design with Vases – I enjoy using vases in my work so I have put them together here with decorative scarves, creating a flowing array of shapes and colour.
Primula with China Shoes – Original SOLD prints still available. Beautiful fabrics, with rhythmical patterns and decorative objects combine to produce this energetic still life.
Lemons and Limes – Inspired by blue China that I often use in my work then combining it with actual lemons and limes and a fabric with lemon images on. The objects and patterns produced compliment each other.
