Hello! I’d like to show you all my most recent pieces of work all based in and around Norwich Cathedral.
I have used many different mediums such as pencil, pen & ink and gouache.
I also have played around with some different view points and architectural features of the cathedral itself!
Please do let me know what you think!
Lights of the World – Norwich Cathedral – The light pouring through the window produced this rainbow effect on the iron artwork. The candles representing the counties of the world made this a magical sight.
Pipe Perspective – Norwich Cathedral – This is a viewpoint looking up at the statuesque organ that is reaching up to the elaborately patterned ceiling. It is a celebration of the grandeur and powerful presence of this stunning Instrument.
Knave Vaulting – Norwich Cathedral No.2 – Using masking fluid I wanted to project how light touching the stone played a part in producing energetic rhythms and contrasting shapes.
Cloisters – Norwich Cathedral No.2 – I have used watercolour and ink washes of just two colours, in order to express the tranquil atmosphere of this special place.
